Veteran fast bowler Stuart Broad has made history in the last and deciding match of the series being played at the Old Trafford in Manchester between England and West Indies. Stuart Broad has completed 500 wickets in Test cricket, showing the way to the pavilion to Craig Braithwaite of the Windies.

Broad has become the second England bowler and 7th bowler in the world to do so in Test cricket. Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Australia’s Shane Warne (708), India’s Anil Kumble (619), England’s James Anderson (589), Australia’s Glenn McGrath (563) and West Indies’s Courtney Walsh (519) Has done historical feats.

The interesting thing is that Stuart Broad is the second such bowler to complete 500 wickets in the cricket world, who is still active in cricket. Broad is the third bowler to complete 500 wickets in Test with the fewest balls. Broad has claimed 500 wickets in 28430 balls. In this case, Glenn McGrath is the first number who did this feat in just 25528 balls, while the second-ranked James Anderson had to throw 28150 balls to do this feat.

Stuart Broad has taken 500 wickets at an average of 28.02 in 258 innings of 140 Tests for England, with 8 wickets for 15 runs being his best in an innings. Not only this, in the Test match, he has done wonders taking 5 wickets 18 times and 10 wickets 2 times.
