In the midst of the Corona crisis, if you want to buy a new SIM but are not able to get out of the house amid restrictions and health related risks, do not worry now the telecom companies will deliver the SIM card to your home. Not only this, your verification will also be completed sitting at home. In fact, in view of the inconvenience of the people and the difficulties of the companies, the Department of Telecommunications may soon allow contactless verification for mobile customers.

After the new rules, the SIM card will be delivered at home, while the verification of customers can be completed with the help of app and OTP. The new rules will not only help customers get new SIMs but will also be able to connect customers in the midst of the Corona crisis. Currently, to get a new SIM, the customer has to go to the telecom retail outlet and give his ID and address proof. At the same time, companies have to take a picture of the customer present in the retail outlet and put it in the customer acquisition form. After this, SIM is given after filling in the form and giving OTP.

The Corona crisis has increased difficulties for telecom companies. In fact, due to restrictions and social distancing, the outlets are not able to function to their full potential. They are also finding difficulty in adding new customers and in things like recharge. After the results of Vodafone Idea, the management also said that due to Corona, there has been a serious impact on income. The new facility by the Department of Telecommunications is expected to reduce the difficulties of customers and companies.
