Wuthering Waves is an open-world action RPG where you play as Rover, awakening in a land ravaged by the Lament, embarking on an epic quest to reclaim lost memories with the aid of Resonators and explore the vast freedoms and mysteries of a beautifully desolate world. Resonators, referred to as playable characters in the game, are aligned with a specific element, whereas the player "Rover" can wield all elements. In WuWa, you as Rover will encounter different resonators with different backstory, duty and power.

Today we are gonna introduce one of the newest released resonators – Changli, from aspects of character design, backstory and building guide.

Character Design

Changli features as a tall, strong woman who has honey brown eyes and pink-white long hair down to her hip, pulling into a curled ponytail like a light feather. Her left arm seems to have scorching red skin, and her upper torso is covered with makeup or marks that resemble flames. She appears to be steady, elegant and powerful. 

Backstory

You can easily link her with another resonator who just got released – Jinhsi, who can be obtained in the event convene which just ended on July 22nd, 2024. 

Changli, a former secretary-general of the central Secretariat in the capital, is also Jinhsi's teacher. She serves as the Jinzhou Magistrate's counselor at present. She is a calm and composed presence on the battlefield, but she is also a formidable resonator. She would submit herself to the never-ending race against chaos and time in order to accomplish her purpose. 

You will run into the Main quest of her in Act VII. 

Building Guide

Changli is a new 5-Star Character (Resonators), who is good at using her sword and wielding the Fusion element. Up till now, she is the second Fusion main DPS among all the playable characters in Wuthering Waves.

Changli, a formidable fighter, wields skills that include swift strikes, aerial assaults, and powerful techniques like tripartite flames and radiance of fealty. Her arsenal also features passive abilities that amplify her damage output and weaken enemy defenses, creating an immersive and thrilling gameplay experience.

Inferno Rider stands out as the optimal choice for Changli's main echo, offering exceptional performance and utility. Not only does it enhance her combat abilities, but it also provides a slight increase in exploration speed during overworld activities.

Changli's Ideal Teammates:

Yinlin proves to be an invaluable ally for Changli, known for her ability to deal substantial damage swiftly while minimizing her time on the battlefield. Her coordinated attacks pack a punch, especially when paired with Electro or Liberation-oriented allies, leveraging her unique outro ability to great effect. 

Jianxin brings valuable crowd-control skills and a potent liberation damage buff to Changli's team, making him a standout choice. His strength lies in handling multiple foes with ease, thanks to his impressive area-of-effect abilities that swiftly eliminate enemy waves.

Mortefi, a standout 4-star character, offers unparalleled strength in combat. While his enhancements may not directly benefit Changli's heavy attacks, Mortefi shines in delivering consistent and substantial damage in diverse scenarios. His versatility and high damage potential make him an excellent free-to-play option that complements Changli's strengths effectively.
