Child Safety

Last Update : 6th Feb 2025

At H, we prioritize the safety, security, and well-being of children who use our application. This Child Safety Standard Policy is designed to ensure that our platform provides a safe and positive environment for minors while adhering to relevant laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable child protection regulations. We are committed to creating an online space that respects children’s privacy and ensures their protection.

1. Collection of Personal Information:

No Collection of Personal Information from Children Under 13: H will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. This includes, but is not limited to, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and other sensitive data.

Parental Consent for Data Collection: If our app collects personal information from children under 13, we will request verifiable parental consent prior to the collection. Parents will be informed about what information is collected, how it will be used, and how to manage or withdraw consent.

Data Minimization: H will only collect data that is necessary for the service and will not ask for more information than required. Where possible, we will anonymize or aggregate data to ensure that it cannot be linked back to individual users.

2. Content Restrictions:

Age-Appropriate Content: All content and features within H will be curated to ensure it is appropriate for children. We will monitor and review user-generated content to maintain a child-friendly environment.

Prohibited Content: The platform will restrict harmful or inappropriate content, including but not limited to explicit language, violent imagery, or material that promotes unhealthy behavior.

Reporting and Moderation: Users (or parents) can report inappropriate content. H will maintain a team of moderators to quickly address reports of harmful content.

3. In-App Communications:

Safe Messaging and Interaction: H will provide safe and controlled communication channels for children. Features like direct messaging, live chats, or forums will be restricted to prevent unauthorized contact between children and unknown individuals.

Parental Monitoring Options: Parents will have the ability to monitor and control communication settings, ensuring their child’s interactions are limited to trusted individuals.

4. Advertising and Commercial Content:

No Targeted Advertising: H will not serve targeted ads to children based on personal data. Advertising content will be clearly distinguished from non-advertising content, and we will follow applicable regulations regarding advertising to minors.

Parental Controls for Purchases: For any in-app purchases or subscriptions, H will ensure that parental consent is obtained before children can make transactions. Additionally, we will provide a way for parents to review and manage their child’s purchases.

5. Safety Features and User Control:

Privacy Settings for Children: We will provide strong privacy settings for children, including options to limit their visibility to other users, control who can contact them, and restrict the sharing of their information.

Reporting and Blocking Features: Children (or parents) can easily report inappropriate content, users, or behavior. Blocking features will allow children to immediately remove or stop communication with inappropriate contacts.

Education and Awareness: We will provide educational resources to both children and parents about online safety, privacy, and responsible use of the app.

6. Data Security and Protection:

Encryption and Secure Storage: All personal information collected from children will be securely stored and encrypted in compliance with data protection laws. Access to such data will be restricted to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention: H will retain personal data for only as long as necessary for providing services or fulfilling legal obligations. Once the data is no longer needed, it will be safely deleted.

7. Parental Involvement and Control:

Parental Consent Management: Parents will have the right to review, update, or delete their child’s personal information. They can also withdraw their consent at any time, which will result in the deletion of their child’s data from our system.

Access to Account Information: Parents can access their child’s account, including viewing personal data, settings, interactions, and in-app activity.

8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

COPPA Compliance: H fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws to protect children's privacy online.

International Compliance: If our app is available in other countries, we will adhere to international standards for child safety, including GDPR in Europe, and other relevant regional laws protecting children’s privacy and safety.

9. Reporting Violations:

Reporting Concerns: If you believe that H has violated any aspect of this policy or has inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
Conclusion:

H is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for children. By following this policy and staying up to date with the latest child safety regulations, we aim to foster an online environment that prioritizes children’s safety, privacy, and well-being.
