The Supreme Court has cleared the construction of Rapid Rail Transit Line in 1 acre area of Millennium Park in Delhi. This elevated line is to be constructed for Delhi-Panipat and Delhi-Alwar Rapid Rail. In the year 1996, the Supreme Court had forbidden any construction in this area. But yesterday the court has changed the old order and allowed the construction of rapid rail transit line.
Due to the construction of Rapid Rail Corridor between Delhi and Panipat, the distance between the two cities will be just 45 minutes. The rapid rail line will be about 111 km long. About 88.7 km of it is in Haryana. There will be 17 Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) stations including Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi-Panipat corridor.
Five stations will also be built in Panipat. While a depot will be built on about 125 acres in Bhainswal village. Under the new plan, the train will run on the bridge along the highway. Let us tell you that the work of rapid rail project between Delhi and Alwar has already started. Under the first corridor of Rapid Rail, work is to be done from Kalekhan in Delhi to SNB of Alwar. A target has been set to complete the first phase of rapid rail by 2024.
