Taking on the challenges of a new season provides an excellent opportunity to reinvent your gameplay and begin fresh. Join the new season, complete the challenges, and demonstrate that you are the ultimate Path of Exile master by retaining all of your previous characters and items in their corresponding permanent Standard and Permanent Expert modes. However, we strongly encourage you to participate in this new season.

During the season of Synthesis, you will come across Kavas, a spirit who wanders aimlessly but whose memories have been erased. He needs your assistance to piece together his history and uncover the mysteries that are concealed within it.

In order to be of assistance to Kavas, you will need to retrieve these forgotten memories and set off an internal memory stabilizer. But I beg you to move quickly; memories fade over time; if you tarry too long or deviate from the path, you risk turning into dust along with these recollections. Please hasten. Once the memory has been successfully stabilized, Kavas will save it in the memory hub before making use of it.

After traveling to the Memories Hub, you will have the ability to use your previously stored memories to pave the way to more distant recollections. Both the obstacles and the payoffs in Distant Memories are increased in difficulty. You might come across Splinter, which has affixes that are permanently locked and cannot be modified in any way.

You can create new base item types with new base affixes by using Splinter in the Stand of Memories, which is located in the Nexus of Memories. You will receive affixes of a type and value proportional to the affixes of the same type and value that you choose to give up in the Stand of Memory.

There are forty brand new challenges in the Synthetic season. When you have completed 12 of them, you will receive the head skin and head effects named Synthetic Crown. When you have completed 24 of them, you will receive the pet named Synthesis. When you have completed 36 of them, you will receive the Back decoration named Wings of Void Memory. Season Zones are the only places you can access these effects. After completing challenge 19, you will be rewarded with a Synthesizer Totem Pole to use as a decoration in your hideout for every three challenges that you complete. Your achievements in this year's memory exploration contest will be permanently displayed on the totem poles.

A wave of divine power deals damage to enemies in a line, then creates consecrated ground and deals damage to the area around the target location. This new skill gem for Wisdom and Strength is called Purifying Flame. After that, it sends a larger shock wave in all directions, dealing damage to enemies in consecrated ground but bypassing those that are hit.

A new intelligence skill gem called Soul Breaker has been added. This skill gem allows the user to fire a projectile that moves forward and penetrates the enemy, dealing poe orbs chaos damage to the enemy on hit and stealing a portion of that damage as an energy shield. In addition, enemies that are struck by the projectile suffer damage from an effect that has a short duration.

There is now a new Wisdom Skill Gem available called Chaos Poison. This gem applies a debuff that deals continuous Chaos damage to enemies in an area and also applies a linked curse to those enemies. The duration and damage-over-time of this ability poe chaos orb are both increased by the cascading curse. Additionally, the damage-over-time component of this ability gradually becomes more powerful as more time passes.

Conviction Wave, a new skill gem that combines Wisdom and Strength, has been added. This skill fires a surging wave of energy in a forward cone, dealing Physical, Fire, and Lightning damage to enemies on impact and applying a long-lasting negative effect that reduces the enemy's resistance to these three elements. If you cast this ability a second time, the energy wave will be recast, but the first energy wave will be canceled. You are limited to having no more than one energy wave at any given time.

Aura of Endurance, a new gem for the wisdom skill, has been added. It allows you and your allies to cast an aura that increases the total spell damage and the chance for spells to critically strike. When you or your allies deal damage to specific foes, Consecrated Ground is also created. Holy Resentment is a new wisdom and strength skill gem that has been added to the game. It inflicts physical and lightning damage on enemies in the area, stacks up while it is channeled, and the greater the number of enemies it inflicts damage on, the more stacks it will grant you. Once you stop chanting, a powerful ray of energy will be released directly in front of you, and the amount of damage it does will be based on the number of stacks that have been accumulated.

Casts an aura that increases the duration of your abilities and the abilities of allies, and increases your total damage over time. This new Wisdom/Agility skill gem is called Malice Aura, and it has been added to the game. There is now a new wisdom support gem available called Energy Steal (Auxiliary), which works as follows: When the supported skill hits an opponent, it will steal some of the damage and turn it into an energy shield. When your Energy Shield is full or when you are stealing Energy Shield, supported skills deal an additional amount of damage on top of that.

There is now a new Wisdom buy poe items Support Gem available, called Spell Focus (Support). While it does reduce the range of supported skills, each stack of Spell Focus increases the amount of damage dealt within that range. Spell Condensation is gained by using supported skills, and it is lost whenever you move or teleport. Spell Condensation can be regained by using supported skills again. Added a new wisdom support gem called Unleash (Auxiliary): The assisted spell will continue to gain seals, and the seal will be unlocked when the spell is cast. Additionally, the assisted spell's effect will be triggered again each time an accumulated seal is lost.

The first few chapters of the game now feature a significant number of new musical tracks.
There are now a total of five new hideouts that can be discovered as the game progresses.
There are now a total of 17 new legendary items available.
There are now 15 new Destiny cards, all of which were designed by members of the player community.
Split and Composite are the names of the new types of items that have been added.
