The foreign direct investment (FDI) from the US to India has crossed the $ 40 billion mark so far this year. A lobbying group focused on India says it reflects the growing trust of American companies towards the country.
Mukesh Aghi, president of the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF), said that in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, American companies have shown great confidence in India, while the world economy has been badly affected during this time.
The USISPF monitors large FDI from the US in India. Aghi said that till date, investment from the US in India has crossed the $ 40 billion mark. Referring to the investments of big companies like Google, Facebook and Walmart, he said that in recent weeks, more than $ 20 billion foreign investment has been made in India by the US.
He said that investor confidence in India is very high. India is still a very attractive market for foreign investors. Recently, not only has the investment of $ 20 billion come from America, but also from West Asia and Far East.
