Human trials of the vaccine that the ICMR and Bharat Biotech are making together for the coronavirus have started. According to Bharat Biotech, these human trials will be done on 375 volunteers. The trials will be in total 3 phases and the first phase has started.

12 institutes of India including AIIMS are participating in this human trial. This vaccine has been given to 10 volunteers in AIIMS Patna and so far no side effects are known in any of the volunteers. This news is encouraging the scientists.

After AIIMS Patna, 3 volunteers were given vaccine at PGI Hospital Rohtak and all is well. Yesterday, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij gave this information through a tweet.

However, the vaccine will be tested on the largest scale at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, Delhi. This trial is to be done on a total of 375 people, out of which 100 volunteers will be tested in AIIMS.

Corona continues to wreak havoc in the country. More than 30 thousand new cases are coming out from last three days. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning, the corona virus cases in the country have increased to 10,38,716, while the number of death has risen to 26,273 with 671 deaths a day. At present, 6,53,751 people in India have been cured of this epidemic while 3,58,692 patients are still being treated.
